Preserving tradition while embracing innovation in Indian dance forms
Abhivyakti Fine Arts Academy is a hub for creativity, culture, and expression, dedicated to preserving and promoting Indian classical and folk dance while embracing contemporary styles. Through expert training in Bharatanatyam, Kathak, Indian Ballet, and Hindustani classical music, the academy nurtures confidence, discipline, and a deep appreciation for the arts.
Founded by Deepti Shukla, a certified Bharatanatyam instructor, choreographer, and classical singer, Abhivyakti is more than just a training center—it is a space where passion meets perseverance. With a Master’s in Music Vocal (Hindustani Sangeet) and rigorous training under her Guru Nishtha Sharma (disciple of Guru Shri Shreedharan Nair), Deepti brings a wealth of knowledge to her students. She believes, “A good teacher can inspire hope, ignite the imagination, and instill a love of learning.”
Abhivyakti has also been recognised by the City of Melbourne, creating more opportunities for its students to shine. The academy has had the honor of performing at prestigious cultural events, and Deepti shared the stage with Bollywood legends
Whether through Bharatanatyam’s intricate expressions, the high-energy beats of Bollywood, or the soulful melodies of classical music, Abhivyakti Fine Arts Academy nurtures talent and fosters a lifelong love for the arts. The journey here is not just about learning dance or music—it’s about finding one’s artistic voice and expressing it with confidence and joy.
